The idea for The Healthy Farm Girl was born in 2013. Melinda Pound, founder and creator of the company, had been making her own deodorant and hair gel for several years. After a long quest to find natural products that weren’t filled with hidden synthetic fragrances and parabens, she started making products for herself and family members. After making a face cream for her mother that decreased aging wrinkles and eliminated a rash, the idea of opening shop was born. After being open for a couple years, Melinda took some time off in 2016 to learn more about making cosmetics safely and effectively. The shop reopened in August of 2016 with new, improved products, but with the same mission of providing affordable products everyone will love.
